    Job Description

    Rotten Tomatoes’ Review Curators are key contributors to maintaining the Tomatometer – the score that is the heart of our brand. Review Curators focus on gathering, assessing, and adding film and TV reviews to the site. The Review Curator will add reviews published by Tomatometer-approved critics.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor reviews from approved outlets and critics and add to the site in a timely manner
    • Analyze and summarize reviews from professional film and TV critics
    • Use an internal portal to add links to Rotten Tomatoes
    • Learn and monitor publishing schedules of approved critics and outlets, understand and adhere to industry best practices, such as embargoes, etc.
    • Maintain and update internal data
    • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party content vendors
    • Support team and other duties as assigned by leadership
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in Communications, Film Studies, or similar field, or equivalent professional experience
    • Excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills
    • Interest in entertainment criticism
    • Experience with content management systems
    • Highly focused, organized and detail-oriented, with effective time management skills
    • Ability to remain calm and be flexible in a fast-moving working environment, managing multiple projects within tight deadlines
    • Familiarity with different web browsers, Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, and Airtable
    • Willingness to work overtime, and/or on weekends with short notice due to business needs
    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Universal City office a minimum of three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday)

    Desired Characteristics

    • Thorough understanding of the film and TV industries
    • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
    • Self-motivated individual who demonstrates a proactive and positive approach to work
    • Fluent in a second language

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
