As the Risk and Compliance Manager, you are responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company’s operational, financial, compliance and strategic risks within the P/C, Life and non-insurance companies.

If so, we invite you to join our team as a Risk and Compliance Manager.
As a Risk and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization meets industry regulations, mitigates potential risks, and maintains ethical standards. You will be responsible for assessing compliance frameworks, identifying areas of improvement, and effectively communicating findings to leadership and team members.
Responsibilities
Oversee Alfa’s corporate insurance program, minimizing risk and financial loss through effective policy procurement and broker relationship management.
Design and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain corporate policies and manage training for employees.
Coordinate regulatory examinations and inquiries.
Work with IT Security and management to implement privacy and cybersecurity programs that protect sensitive information.
Support cybersecurity committees and ensure risk oversight across business units.
Assist with the corporate ERM program, focusing on third-party risk management to evaluate and monitor vendors effectively.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, IT, Insurance, Risk Management or other related business discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.
One or more certifications preferred (CPA, CIA, CRM, CMA, CISA, CRMP) or other comparable designations.
Legal education/certificate (i.e., paralegal certificate) a plus
Five years’ experience in a compliance and/or risk management discipline (including audit, enterprise risk management, legal, corporate insurance, accounting, underwriting/loss mitigation, operations, etc.) required.
Excellent skill set in reading and interpreting the highly technical and legal language of applicable technical literature (e.g., laws, regulations, accounting, and auditing pronouncements, policies and procedures, etc.) for areas of assignment.
Strong foundation in compliance, enterprise risk management, and/or related fields.
Diverse knowledge and experience in a broad spectrum of business disciplines (compliance, legal, cybersecurity, financial analysis, insurance, operations, strategic planning, etc.) and prior managerial experience preferred.
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills in order to translate technical and legal information into understandable terms.
Strong analytical and exceptional problem-solving capabilities; excellent report summation skills; creative “out of the box” thinker.
Self-motivated, organized and able to develop various programs, standards, etc. for company-wide application.
Skilled in meeting deadlines, working under pressure and working autonomously in a team environment; excellent project management skills.
Effective leadership and management skills; able to interact and serve as a strategic partner with senior management and assigned Business Unit leads.
Skilled in applicable computer software programs, such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and/or Word.
