    Join a collaborative team and leverage your irrigation expertise as an Advanced Irrigation Technician at Riverside Services. As the premier landscape design and build team in the Greater Boston Area, Riverside enhances commercial and residential properties, offering a range of opportunities for the right candidate. The position pays $28 to $40 an hour.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience diagnosing, repairing, and installing irrigation systems.

    • A valid driver’s license & DOT certification and the ability to join the company’s insurance plan.

    • A clean criminal record.

    • Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility.

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.

    • Strong customer collaboration skills

    • Must contribute to the Snow Division and be available for winter work

    In this position, you can expect to:

    • Lend your expertise on the following irrigation system components: wiring controllers and valves, pressure testers, trenching/pulling pipe, heads, rotors, valves, main and lateral lines, drip lines, bubblers, and more.

    • Operate company equipment such as trenchers, pullers, trucks, tampers, etc.

    • Demonstrate your people skills by collaborating with customers, subcontractors, and architects.

    • Order materials and manage administrative requirements.

    • Manage between one and two employees and report to the Irrigation Lawn Care Manager.

    • Ensure a safe and productive work environment for your team.

    • Translate irrigation plans and drawings to prepare and lay out the job site.

    • Use your expertise to diagnose issues with large-scale, complex systems and provide thoughtful solutions.

    • Manage seasonal startups and winterizations by 6/10 and 11/15, respectively.

    • Map and identify controller locations, valve boxes, and water sources and apply water management strategies.

    • Adjust, repair, and install landscape lighting.

    • Create and manage cut sheets of component types and track schedules and budgets.

    • Participate in continuous education and training in programs such as Greenius, Hunter University, and CIT.

    • Support lawn care, outdoor lighting installations, account managers, and snow maintenance teams.
