  • Responsibilities

    This position reports directly to the Director of Finance for Post-Acute Care Services. The Senior Accountant assists with the management of various accounting functions. This includes accounts payable, cash receipts, payroll, account reconciliations, data processing tasks, monthly journal entries, monthly statistical reporting, and statistical studies. The Senior Accountant ensures timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. This position also supports the oversight of Billing and Health Information Department of Post-Acute Care Services and is integral to the entire department's operations.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting/finance preferred.
    • Three to four (3-4) years related business/accounting experience in a hospital/healthcare environment.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
