    PIH Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team on a full-time, regular basis. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of critical systems within our healthcare network, including electrical generators, boilers, HVAC equipment, and water treatment systems. This role is vital to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our facilities, which serve approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley region. Our network includes PIH Health Downey Hospital, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, PIH Health Whittier Hospital, and several outpatient medical office buildings, among other services. As a nationally recognized healthcare provider, we are committed to excellence in patient care and experience. The Stationary Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards by ensuring that all mechanical systems are functioning optimally, adhering to safety protocols, and responding to emergencies as needed. You will work alongside a team of professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment, with no travel required.     Required Skills

    • Knowledge of hazardous materials related to HVAC and Boiler systems
    • Proficiency in the maintenance and operation of electrical generators and boilers
    • Ability to operate and maintain HVAC equipment effectively
    • Familiarity with water treatment systems and their maintenance
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
    • Experience with emergency response and preparedness

    Required Experience

    • LA City Steam Engineers Unlimited License
    • LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Hospital power plant or similar environment
    • Demonstrated history of adhering to safety and health regulations
    • Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems
    • Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving technical issues
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and inspection standards
    • Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
    • Prior experience with automated building control systems
    • History of continuous professional development in stationary engineering
