    Job Description

    This role involves a blend of machine programming, automation technology implementation, and technical problem-solving. You'll be accountable for maintaining and improving machine systems, troubleshooting issues, and executing technical solutions across various projects. The rotational program spans 24 months and concludes in a permanent position in Florence, Kentucky.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Technical Implementation & Problem-Solving: Develop and execute technical solutions to resolve major programming issues and implement improvements for assembly or manufacturing line controls.
    • Automation & Equipment Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize automated equipment concepts, including robotics, vision systems, and PLC programming (i.e. (LAD) ladder diagram, (CSF) control system flowchart, (STL) statement list.)
    • Hardware Installation & Troubleshooting: Install hardware and troubleshoot issues with machinery, robotic interfaces, and related technologies.
    • Coding & Program Development: Write, debug, and optimize code for various control systems, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
    • Project Management: Direct and support project management activities related to advanced automation technologies, including cameras, robotics, Industry 4.0 connectivity, and predictive modeling.
    • Training & Team Guidance: Provide training to technical staff and act as a subject matter expert for internal teams, assisting with troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.
    • External & Internal Partnership: Work with internal and external stakeholders to address complex technical issues, ensuring smooth operation and project delivery.
    • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvements and contribute to ongoing training and development of technical skills.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
    • Experience: at least 1 year of related experience (intern, co-op, full time experience) less than 5 years of experience.
    • Geographically Mobile: Candidate must be willing and able to relocate multiple times within the U.S. and potentially to international locations.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for up to 4 hours at a time and lift up to 45 pounds.

    An ideal candidate for this position will have:

    • A strong problem-solving ability to address technical challenges and develop solutions.
    • Experience programming in PLC languages (LAD, CSF, STL) and debugging.
    • Experience in automation technologies, including robotics, vision systems, and predictive maintenance.
    • The ability to convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Project management experience with a demonstrated ability effectively work with with cross-functional teams.
    • Technician experience with hands-on problem-solving and system troubleshooting.
    • A passion for automation as a hobby or side interest.
    • Experience with programming languages such as Python or C++.
