Delivery Driver - DOE

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Delivers ordered products to customers using a tractor/trailer truck, cargo van, or box truck. The position's physical requirement includes unloading, pushing/pulling, lifting, loading, bending, reaching, restocking/reloading products, squatting, and grasping products ranging from 20-1200 pounds repeatedly over a 10-12 hour shift.
The driver must unload boxes and pallets of product from the vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or dolly and put the product in the designated area in the customer's store. Review invoices with the customer, prepare credit slips per policy, collect an applicable payment, and call the Supervisor or AR Supervisor with delivery or invoice questions, respectively.
The driver is responsible for the vehicle's inventory at all times and checking the vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each shift. The driver is responsible for all documentation related to orders delivered and vehicle paperwork until the shift is complete.
Deliver product and execute all promotions
Service all scheduled customers by the end of the shift
Establish positive working relationships with the primary contact at each account
Settle cash and reconcile to truck inventory
Ensure safety and compliance of load
Documenting DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
Completing essential paperwork (for example, filling out paperwork, completing documentation to turn in to the supervisor, or filling out timecards mileage)
Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (for example, operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, hand trucks, breakdowns, stairlifts, climbing equipment, lifting machines, or using load bars and straps)
Operating a Box truck or van in different conditions
Hauling consumer products and perishable consumer goods (transporting unstable loads, different weights on different trip segments)
Serving customers (for example, resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, or following up on customer requests)
Position Requirements: At 21 years or older, if CDL is required
