    Routing Dispatcher: Help Shape the Future of Transportation!

    Pittsburgh Transportation Group is urgently seeking a full-time Routing Dispatcher to join our team. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily driver operations, bus services, charter reservations, vehicle assignments, and fleet maintenance scheduling. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to an evolving transportation team, we want to hear from you! The shift is Sunday - Thursday, 11:00am to 7:00pm.

    Essential Functions of a Routing Dispatcher:

    • Supervise Operations: Manage the shuttle service daily, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
    • Timely Dispatching: Dispatch all scheduled services on time, adhering to contract requirements, company policies, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
    • Scheduling: Assist in weekly service scheduling and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fleet performance.
    • Driver Support: Respond promptly to driver inquiries or issues and offer assistance as needed.
    • Data Management: Oversee the collection of route data, operational indicators, and payroll information.
    • Reporting: Report daily on service operations for all contracts and ensure the service is running efficiently.
    • Vehicle Coordination: Assign vehicles based on contracts and coordinate vehicle maintenance with the Maintenance staff.
    • Customer Communication: Provide information and pricing to current and potential customers, ensuring a positive experience.
    • Reservation Management: Input reservation requests and updates as necessary, maintaining accurate records.
    • Compliance and Safety: Assist Safety & Training staff in ensuring drivers comply with company policies, procedures, applicable laws, and safety requirements.
    • Customer Relations: Handle customer complaints, commendations, and requests with professionalism and efficiency.
    • Other Duties: Perform any additional duties as assigned to support smooth operations.

    Position Qualifications of a Routing Dispatcher:

    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Experience: 2+ years of dispatch experience in the transportation industry preferred
