Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Handyman to join one of our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience with light electrical, light plumbing, drywall patching and installation, assembling furniture, hanging new doors and other handyman duties as needed within residential and commercial buildings. No special certifications or licenses required besides a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be roving throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding Metro areas as work orders are taken and dispatched. The corporate office is located in Eagan, MN (55122).

Salary: $30-$40/hour DOQ. This role is a contract to hire role (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9AM – 6PM, with roving throughout the day (mileage will be paid based on federal rates).

The Handyman will have a broad range of skills and be comfortable handling interior and exterior building maintenance, repairs, and renovations. Projects may vary from minor repairs to more extensive installations, such as floors, plumbing fixtures, electrical work, and general property maintenance. This role requires someone who is highly skilled, self-motivated, and flexible

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Perform general contractor duties across multiple residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and installations for both interior and exterior spaces.
• Install, repair, and maintain floors, drywall, toilets, sinks, lighting fixtures, and other fixtures.
• Handle minor electrical work such as installing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Perform plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing new fixtures.
• Provide carpentry services for framing, doors, window repair, shelving, and cabinetry installation.
• Conduct painting and drywall repairs, both interior and exterior.
• Handle any general handyman tasks such as replacing windows, repairing fences, and patching up walls.
• Troubleshoot and fix HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
• Address and repair wear and tear from regular property usage, including common areas, apartments, and office spaces.
• Maintain and ensure that all properties follow safety regulations and standards.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and within budget, maintaining excellent communication with property management.
• Keep a detailed record of work performed and materials used for each job.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience with light electrical, light plumbing, drywall patching and installation, assembling furniture, hanging new doors and other handyman duties as needed within residential and commercial buildings.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in various areas of construction, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience working with electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman duties.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to handle strenuous tasks such as lifting heavy materials, working on ladders, and long hours of manual labor.
• Own a reliable set of tools and equipment necessary for the job.
• Reliable transportation to travel between properties on assigned work orders.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work odd hours as needed to accommodate project demands.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check before employment.
