SUMMARY:
The Narcotic Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining documentation related to acquisition, disposition, and inventory management of all controlled substances.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Requesting narcotic Schedule II and List I chemical quotas from the DEA annually and updating as needed
- Reporting acquisitions, dispositions, and inventory of Schedule II and List I chemicals to the DEA through YERS and ARCOS as required
- Returning controlled substances for destruction to ADH
- Maintaining perpetual inventory of both raw drugs and finished products
- Disposition of shipped narcotics (hard copy 222 and electronic 222)
- Other clerical duties as needed to facilitate operations
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
- Be fluent in Microsoft Office
- Must poses strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Work in a manufacturing environment in a safe manner
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position will not have any direct supervisory responsibilities however will lead/direct people in matters of Narcotics Inventory.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position often works in all areas of our production/manufacturing designations, but mostly spent in the vault area of the production floor. Proper protective equipment will be worn at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum: 2 years in a supervisory role within inventory
- Preferred: DEA or Regulatory Compliance reporting
