Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable SCADA/Building Automation Systems Technician to join our team. As the Systems Technician/Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring customer SCADA/Power Monitoring computer systems, networks, and equipment are operating at peak performance. You will also handle support requests and assist clients with their systems integration needs. Your role is vital to the smooth operation of our company and allowing us to reach our business goals. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Maintain Windows-based computer and networking hardware in working order
Configure and program power monitoring and SCADA software
Integrate and maintain electrical monitoring hardware including electrical meters, servers, and industrial gateways
Report to various data centers and commercial properties to work on new installations, and maintain existing systems
Build system graphics on SCADA platform using various software toolboxes
Ability to understand ladder logic and PLC functions
Travel or commute to NJ/NY/CT sites is expected (60%-70%), remaining work is remote (30%-40%)
Technical Qualifications
Knowledge of industrial communications protocols such as Bacnet and Modbus
Familiarity with power distribution equipment such as UPS, generator, switchgear and power quality meters
Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Windows platform
Familiarity with SQL-based database platforms with ability to write simple SQL queries
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related study
3+ Years of Professional Experience is required
