The Customer Service position requires an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service issues and then offer solutions to each problem. This individual is charged with being an integral part of the customers experience with the company and it is required that a high level of service is given to each customer’s needs.
Position: Inside Sales/Customer Service
Location: Eden Prairie, MN
Pay: $19 to $21 per hour
Employment: Full Time
Shift: 1st (8:00am - 4:30pm)
Essential Duties:
- Answers incoming customer calls & assists walk-in customers regarding quotes, orders, delivery, product troubleshooting, and other general customer concerns.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and builds a positive rapport with every caller.
- Enters quotes and orders into order entry in a timely and accurate manner to ensure the customer receives their request in a timely manner and to ensure the plant receives their work orders within set timelines.
- Calculates and enters any fabrication changes into each order.
- Requests quotes & orders from vendors as needed (Trac-Rite, Cookson, etc.,).
- File office paperwork in a timely manner (orders, bill of ladings, etc.).
- Processes RGA’s, Warranties, and Documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies.
- Contributes to a spirit of cooperation and teamwork within and between all departments company-wide – provides assistance as needed with a can-do attitude.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for continuous performance and process improvements.
- Demonstrate and uphold Company Values: Service, Quality, and Integrity.
Skills and Experience Requirements:

- Two (2) years of customer service experience required, preferably in a building products related field.
- High school diploma / GED required. Associate degree in a business-related field preferred.
- Excellent computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel). ERP experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required with all levels of responsibility in an organization including external customers, business owners and vendors.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times.
- Ability to create and build strong relationships with customers.
- A high level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and work within established deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, statements, job-specifications, and architectural drawings.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making in difficult and stressful situations.
- Strong customer service (internal and external) focus.
