    Franklin Automation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

    SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

    The opportunity

    Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with field experience to work out of our Sugar Grove, IL plant.

    We are looking for motivated self-starters to join our growing team.

    Responsibilities:

    · Produce, review, and update mechanical designs and drawings in accordance with required specifications, standards, customer comments, and internal design models

    · Design and implement automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments

    · Oversee the entire lifecycle of the machine design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation

    · Lead collaborative discussions between leadership and key stakeholders to determine automation capabilities and goals

    · Maintain customer correspondence including approvals, changes, agreements and transmittals

    · Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades

    · Other engineering/manufacturing related tasks as deemed appropriate by management

    Skills:

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Excellent problem solving and time management skills

    · Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge

    · Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software

    · Background in automation engineering

    Minimum Requirements:

    · A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or similar related degree)

    · 8 - 10 years related job experience

    · Valid Driver’s License

    · Proficient with MS Office, SolidWorks

    · Must have the ability to measure and model new and existing mechanical components

    · Be U.S. work authorized. No VISA sponsorship is available for this role.
