    Position Description: The Senior Property Tax Manager is responsible for maximizing property tax consulting results for existing ITC clients as well as working closely with business development personnel and management to identify and pursue prospects that would benefit from proactive property tax services. This would include the design and implementation of effective property tax strategies for complex industrial taxpayers in the energy, cement and mining, steel, chemicals and refining, renewables, data centers and semiconductors, and other manufacturing, commercial, and personal property owners.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Supervise a team of Tax Consultants, Analysts, and Staff to deliver innovative property tax consulting services for ITC clients.

    Ensure workload is properly distributed to team members and holds them accountable as necessary

    Maintain their own assigned clients and those assigned to the team they manage to better cultivate client relationships and focuses on property tax management and minimization opportunities.

    Review and evaluate appeal positions, make appeal recommendations, and manage the appeal process. This includes working closely with attorneys and appraisers to capitalize on tax reduction opportunities.

    Research tax issues for additional tax savings opportunities, reviewing valuations of real and business personal property, negotiating assessment reduction and settlements, and the preparation and presentation of assessment appeals and supporting litigation.

    Communicate new issues, legislative changes, training opportunities, and client needs and strategies.

    Manage and monitor all aspects of the annual property tax cycle for the real and business personal property of their own and their teams' clients.

    Collaborate with other offices and business development personnel on campaigns targeting new or fast-growing industries or those experiencing secular changes as well as assist with creating products to capitalize on these for existing clients and potential prospects.

    Actively involved in professional and industry organizations.

    Work closely with ITC partners in the Accounting and Tax areas to facilitate development of existing relationships and generate new clients.

    Serve as the main contact of the clients assigned to the position and assist as a contact for team members with their clients, overseeing all client activity and respond to client inquiries and requests from assessing jurisdictions.

    Review and manage client contract terms, scope of services and fees.

    Education, Experience & Skills:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, Business Management or Engineering

    Certifications or designations in related fields preferred, such as CMI, CPA, ASA

    Must have at least 6 years of property tax related experience with increasing responsibilities

    Multistate expertise with knowledge of various industries and types of property

    Analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills

    Effective at reconciling databases and completing detailed calculations

    Expertise with MS Office required and familiarity with property tax software helpful

    Demonstrated leadership with strong verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Ability to travel as necessary, up to 25%
