Job Description
This position manages the safety, health and environmental programs of a grain export elevator. The primary function is to ensure that all facets of the operation adhere to all components of the facility’s LDC SH&E Program and are being conducted in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environmental and safety rules, laws and regulations. This position promotes SH&E leadership, keeps all levels of facility management actively involved in the SH&E Program and ensures operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally protective manner. This position works with minimal direct supervision, must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Understand, apply and maintain compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations and monitor for new and revised regulations applicable to the plant.
Monitor, measure and report safety, health & environmental performance. Develop trend analyses and implement strategies for improvement.
Assist with the development and implementation of site security, DOT, drug and alcohol, and worker health programs and requirements.
Develop annual pollution prevention and sustainability goals and targets for the plant and plans to achieve those goals.
