1. OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:
The Head of HR & Recruitment is responsible for employment policies and procedures, overseeing payroll and rewards and recognition programs as well as managing workplace safety initiatives. Along with administering employee-benefit programs, the Head of HR & recruitment role involves finding, screening, recruiting new job applicants and developing training and development programs for all employees.
The Head of HR & Recruitment will manage the Skyborne assessment and selection process end-to-end for all new trainees. The role will ensure consistency of selection standards and an uninterrupted flow of candidates according to Skyborne and partner airline requirements.
The Head of HR & Recruitment will be required to meet budget plans and targets set by the business for candidate recruitment.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Handling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare.
- Leading the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates.
- Collaborating with other managers in the business, sometimes internationally, to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective.
- Partnering with senior operational staff to establish and roll-out people-related strategy.
- Overseeing staff attendance and absence monitoring.
- Providing detailed HR reports to senior management teams.
- Administration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination.
- Leading new starter company inductions.
- Managing talent pools and succession plans to ensure the company can continue to operate in the future.
- Overseeing training and development of employees.
- Administering financial elements such as payroll, compensation and benefits, and pension schemes.
- Handling highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way.
- Be a single point of contact for all recruitment on a daily and weekly basis
- Work with Marketing/Sales Manager and Directors on future number requirements
- Ensure a standard process is applied across all recruitment delivering a consistent quality candidate experience
- Ensure Smart Recruiters is maintained and is current regarding all recruitment campaigns
- Monitor candidate responses to attraction campaigns and take action to address numbers where necessary
- Screen candidate CV's and update Smart Recruiters system accordingly
- Move candidates through the selection workflow, ensuring all candidates are communicated with at each stage
- Conduct assessment centers - deliver presentations, provide assessor support, coordinate other assessors as required and ensure candidates are treated fairly and with respect throughout the event
- Carry out a wash-up at the end of each event and agree successful candidates with Assessors
- Maintain up-to-date records for each event, and ensure appropriate communication is forwarded to each candidate
- Design and run skills training sessions for assessors
- Brief the assessment team and ensure they are kept up to date with any changes on the daily processes
- Supervise third party supplier arrangements (external assessors), including directing their activity as required and ensuring high standards
- Involvement in special projects as required
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Previous recruitment, selection and assessment experience
- Client relationship management
- Previous candidate management experience
- Excellent administration coordination

- Accountable for the health and safety of all candidates, assessors and others during the selection process
- Maintaining high standards of data protection and candidate confidentiality, abiding by the relevant legislation (GDPR)
8. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effective safe communication with applicants, candidates, students and other departments (internal and external)
- Maintenance of all candidate data within the parameters of the GDPR framework, ensuring no infringements
- Ensure both own and the safety of other personnel in the working environment
- Perform tasks in compliance with regulations and company procedures
- Practice and promote the Company’s Safety policy and Just Culture
- Participate in safety briefings, meetings and events as appropriate
- Know their role in the company’s ERP
