SMT Machine Operator

Job Overview: Under the SMT Lead Technician's supervision, you'll assemble electrical components. Familiarity with PCB and SMT equipment (screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI machines) is required. IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification is a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities:

Set up screen printers, including loading programs, stencils, and solder paste.

Identify and correct screen print defects.

Set up pick and place machines, adjust feeders, and populate PCBs.

Verify correct part numbers and use process sheets for product assembly.

Operate reflow ovens and AOI machines, reviewing inspection results.

Inspect for soldering and placement defects (knowledge of IPC-A-610 helpful).

Assemble boards from BOMs and read assembly drawings.

Maintain inventory and follow 6S system for organization.

Requirements:

High school diploma, preferably with technical training or degree pursuit.

5+ years’ experience with PCB assembly and SMT.

Knowledge of PCB and SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI machines.

Ability to identify SMT defects and read BOMs.
