    SOFTWARE ENGINEER (GENEVA)

    Private Credit/Equity – Greenwich CT

    J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER (GENEVA) at a prominent NYC/Greenwich CT Private Credit/Equity organization.

    The SOFTWARE ENGINEER will be a significant contributor to enabling the firm’s vision and helping the organization to grow and improve their businesses.

    An exciting opportunity to join the firm’s Technology team responsible for setting the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of major projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Contributes to all parts of the SDLC, e.g., design, development, and testing
    • Develops technical solutions following standard methodologies with some guidance from senior engineers
    • Practices automated testing and tests your work in an automated and repeatable way
    • Identifies and remediates technical debt
    • Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessary
    • Demonstrates strong logic and reasoning capabilities
    • Delivers on well-specified work items

    The ideal candidate would have a background including:

    Required Experience:

    • Professional experience as a C#.NET Software Engineer working with the Advent – GENEVA Platform
    • Familiarity with Azure Cloud technologies
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating people and resources
    • Experience developing a strategy and implementing a program
    • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and at or under budget
    • Ability to work in an open collaborative and highly charged environment.
    • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship’s
    • Confident communicator
    • Enthusiasm for learning & results oriented
    • Strong desire to contribute and build a business – not just solve novel problems.
    • Ability to work with a wide range of clients and technologists to develop and implement technology in support of a dynamically growing Private Credit platform

    Required Education:

    • Strong academic record and a BA/BS degree with high mathematical and computing content (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Financial Engineering)

    SALARY RANGE: The salary range is $140,000 - $210,000 plus employees may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable laws.
