    Mission Connection

    The Connections Coordinator supports the mission of Sojourn Church J-Town by helping people experience hospitality on Sunday mornings and by helping them make their next step in the life of the church.

    Character & Competencies

    Fulfills the character qualifications of a Deacon and Sojourn Employee Handbook.

    Strong relational skills and ability to be present with people

    Experience creating experiences and planning events

    Strong administrative and communication skills

    Ability to manage and schedule volunteers.

    Experience with Google Workplace: Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.

    Ability to collaborate with other ministry leaders

    Responsibilities

    Hospitality

    Assist in scheduling volunteers for Sunday Teams

    Next Steps

    Oversee our follow-up process for New Guests

    Manage Text-In-Church

    Manage Connect Card follow up

    Walk alongside people as they find connections to the life of our church through membership, serving, or discipleship.

    Connections Events

    Assist with administrative needs for Connections Events. (Ordering food, some setup, etc.)

    Serve as host for Welcome Lunch and Membership Class

    Greet people and help communicate the next steps.

    Expectations

    Adhere to the Sojourn Staff Handbook.

    Support, champion, and fulfill the mission, goals, and ministry philosophy of Sojourn J-Town.

    Support, partner, and align with other ministry areas to further our mission.

    5 hours per week
