The National Brain Injury Institute (NBII) exists as the primary source for everything TBI related in the United States of America. Responsibilities
Assessment of speech and language abilities by conducting comprehensive evaluations
Will do swallow assessment to some patients if needed
Will assess deficiencies in cognitive communication
Conducts cognitive rehabilitation therapy for trauma patients to help them improve their thinking abilities
Utilize assessment findings to develop personalized treatment plans
Apply evidence-based strategies and techniques during therapy sessions
Continually monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Develop strategies and techniques for continual progress with clients, families, and caregivers
Will work closely with other multidisciplinary teams (CA Office Manager, HR, Admins, MDs, NPs, MAs and other important staff members) to provide patients with the best possible individualized care to reach their ultimate goal of achieving the highest possible level of independent function for participation in daily activities

Annual Salary Range from $97,00 - $107,000 based upon experience

Preferred Qualifications
Prior professional clinical experience in an academic medical center environment.
Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team.
Possession of or proven eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board of California.
Must be proficient with technology including smartphones, G-Suite cloud-products (e.g. Google Sheets, Documents), and EHRs (ours is Practice Fusion)
Fluency also in Spanish is preffered but not required
