Vice President of Operations

Position Overview:
The Vice President of Operations will lead and oversee the manufacturing operations across multiple facilities, managing up to 300 employees. This role requires a strategic leader who can optimize processes, drive efficiencies, and ensure the highest levels of productivity and quality. The VP of Operations will be a key member of the executive team, contributing to the company’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve company goals, focusing on efficiency, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee and mentor plant managers and department leaders to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze and optimize production workflows, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards across all locations.
- Drive initiatives to meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of delivery, quality, and service.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, reporting directly to the CEO or President.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and other operational best practices.
- Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies for a diverse workforce.
- Foster collaboration and communication across departments to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership, with multi-location oversight.
- Proven track record of managing teams of 200+ employees, delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in operational software and tools, such as ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive cost savings, and achieve financial targets.
