    About iFLY Miami
iFLY Indoor Skydiving is preparing to open in Miami and is hiring an enthusiastic, customer-centric team. iFLY pioneered the body-flying 'indoor skydiving' experience and is the world leader in vertical wind tunnel technology.

Each day we're inspired by all types of people who choose to fly. We celebrate when we watch athletes win competitions. We cheer when youth who are part of our Flight School program learn to fly. We're moved emotionally any time our All Abilities program helps anyone with physical and cognitive challenges spread their wings.

While everyone at iFLY Miami comes from different walks of life, we challenge ourselves to learn, to grow and to progress together – both as flyers and people. We don't just believe in the dream of flying. We live it every day.

    Join us. Choose to fly.

    **About the Role
** Our STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) Educators firmly believe that learning doesn't have to be boring, and they use tools like our high-tech wind tunnel to prove their point.

As a STEM Educator, you're the perfect combination of nerdy and cool that learners of all ages are drawn to. Your superpower is your ability to inspire others to take interest in subjects they never knew they liked.

Your playful passion will go a long way as you challenge students to learn about concepts including wind tunnel design and terminal velocity. You'll lead discussions and hands-on labs in a classroom session, then partner with a Flight Instructor to demonstrate the principles you've discussed using our wind tunnel.

When class isn't in session you'll be refining future lesson plans, networking with local schoolteachers, and attending community events to explain what our STEM program is all about and how meaningful it is to students.

STEM Educators are required to have a bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, STEM education, or a related field, plus experience teaching in a classroom, camp, museum, or other STEM setting.

    **Daily Responsibilities
** No two days are alike, but here's how you can expect to spend your time in this role:

    • Taking the safety of our guests and team seriously, adhering to all safety policies and best practices.
    • Contacting teachers by phone in advance of STEM classes to confirm the roster and that waivers have been received for each student.
    • Meeting with management, CSRs and Flight Instructors to ensure everyone is prepared for the day's STEM class schedule.
    • Setting up for STEM classes, including arranging tables/seating, connecting AV equipment, and gathering supplies.
    • Enthusiastically teaching classes of between 15-100 students (typical class size is 40), using approved iFLY STEM curriculum lesson plans and materials.
    • Adapting iFLY's STEM curriculum as necessary to meet educational objectives for students at all levels, from elementary to high school and sometimes college.
    • Generating STEM program reservations by networking with local schools and teachers and hosting on-site open house events in partnership with the Sales Manager.
    • Attending off-site promotional events and visiting schools on occasion to explain what iFLY and the iFLY STEM program are like and to make new reservations.
    • Assisting guests in person, by email, and by phone. This will include sales of STEM and first-time flyer programs when necessary.
    • Discussing our STEM program with students and their parents on the flight deck from time to time as they wait for their first-time flight sessions to begin.
    • Additional duties based on business needs. The primary responsibility of all iFLY team members is to prioritize their activities based on the needs of the business, coupled with leadership direction. As iFLY continues to grow and evolve, so will the duties of our team members.
