Shift: 7a-7p with Rotating Weekends

Job Summary:
As a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) on the day shift, you will provide essential support to our nursing team and assist residents with their daily living activities. Your compassionate care will help promote comfort, dignity, and independence for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health status to nursing staff.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Help with feeding and hydration, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration for residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including changing bedding and ensuring cleanliness of common areas.
- Document care provided and assist with maintaining resident records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Engage with residents through conversation, activities, and companionship to promote emotional well-being.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with fellow staff to enhance resident care.
Qualifications:
- Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with residents and their families.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to lift and transfer residents, as needed.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
