    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Instructor to join our educational team in Cleveland, United States. As a Substitute Instructor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education by filling in for regular instructors when needed. This position requires a flexible and enthusiastic individual who can quickly adapt to various teaching environments and subjects.

    • Temporary position at least until March 31, 2024.
    • Hourly Rate $30.00 an hour.
    • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons across multiple subject areas as needed
    • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that promotes student learning and motivation
    • Implement existing lesson plans or develop new ones on short notice
    • Manage classroom discipline and ensure student safety
    • Keep accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior
    • Collaborate with regular instructors and staff to ensure seamless transitions
    • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and student needs
    • Adhere to all Department of Labor, company, center, and department guidelines
    • Monitor and report on student progress, including GED test scores when applicable
    • Develop and implement corrective action plans for students with academic deficiencies
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the administration
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Needs LPN or RN license/ Diploma
    • Possession of, or eligibility for, temporary teaching certification in the State of Ohio
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds
    • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in multiple subject areas, with the ability to teach various grade levels
    • Familiarity with standardized tests, including GED and TABE diagnostics
    • Experience in developing and implementing instructional plans
    • Ability to maintain accurate student records and files
    • Knowledge of local and state education standards
    • Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to different teaching environments
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
    • Proficiency in using educational technology and software
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
