    Job Description

    What Does the 3rd Shift Coordinator Do?

    During the 3rd shift, your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure environment while preventing accidents. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Conduct workplace audits and safety walk-throughs to ensure everything aligns with expectations.
    • Identify unsafe work habits during employee observations and guide employees toward safer practices.
    • Take charge of safety and health inspections, proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
    • Design and conduct interactive training sessions on safety, equipment handling, and emergency response.
    • Provide new hires with comprehensive safety onboarding and offer refresher courses to keep experienced employees updated.
    • Regularly revise and tailor training programs to reflect changes in equipment or policies, ensuring everyone stays informed.
    • Serve as the first responder to workplace accidents, near-misses, or incidents, thoroughly investigating their root causes. Accurately document every detail, ensuring comprehensive records of incidents, inspections, and corrective actions are maintained.
    • Observe the work environment to identify hidden hazards or unsafe practices.
    • Collaborate closely with employees and management.
    • Partner with management and employees to mitigate risks and introduce safety improvements.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    To truly excel in this role, the ideal candidate should bring a dynamic mix of skills, expertise, and personality to the table. Here’s what we’re looking for:

    • At least 3 years of experience as a safety coordinator
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to analyze data and incidents to drive improvements.
    • Training Facilitator
    • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and management
    • Should be able to lead safety committee or sub
    • Computer Literate
    • First Aid/CPR Certified
    • Proficiency in Spanish is required
