Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team. You will collaborate with various departments in a industrial manufacturing setting to promote safety awareness and implement effective safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety coordination or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are a plus.
Salary info:
$28 - $33 / hr
