    What will you be doing?

    The Safety Coordinator's primary objective is to collaborate in the design, development, deployment and continued maintenance and improvement of all areas of the World Wide Technology Corporate Safety Program, with the main focus being within the designated Corporate Office and Advanced Technology Center environment(s). The successful candidate should be proactive, autonomous, able to provide innovative solutions that balance compliance and business concerns, enjoy working hard and being challenged, have strong written and oral communication skills, quick to learn new tools, and demonstrate sound and pragmatic judgment in a variety of situations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Be a safety resource and promote a “Safety Always” culture.
    • Assist with the development and continuous improvement of written safety plans, through research, interviews, inspecting and reviewing areas, equipment, processes, and work activities.
    • Make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgement that is consistent with standards, best practices, policies, plans, procedures and regulation of governing laws.
    • Develop, conduct, and maintain Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Assessments.
    • Develop content requirements for safety training programs and collaborate with appropriate supporting teams to ensure established delivery requirements.
    • Conduct safety training on a variety of safety topics for employees at all levels of the organization, as required.
    • Direct, conduct and assist in safety compliance audits and inspections, as required.
    • Analyze and compile data and generate reports, verify data, and distribute reports, as required.
    • Collaboration with employees at all levels while guiding the incident analysis process as it applies to safety events.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels to accomplish shared project goals.
    • Promote platforms for continual improvement, such as Lean, 5S, CIP, etc. Must integrate these systems to help drive excellence in global safety.
    • Manage the maintenance of training data, inspection data, safety audits, and other related documentation, as required.
    • Support fellow Safety Team members in meeting assigned goals.
    • Manage and organize safety promoting events and activities, as assigned.
    • Manage and participate in other projects, as assigned.
    • Maintain active participation in managing Safety Event/Concern submission in the company reporting database known as Service Now.This includes the event analysis and corrective actions needed to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree, Safety Management required or a combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Minimum of 2yrs experience
    • Advanced Safety and Compliance Concepts
    • Advanced Safety Hazard Identification
    • Intermediate Root Cause Analysis
    • Advanced OSHA standard interpretation
    • Working knowledge of domestic and international Occupational Health and Safety standards
    • General knowledge of domestic and international telecommunications and electrical safety standards, NFPA 70e.
    • Ability to set goals and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Strong interpersonal/communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
    • Investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Must be able to work independently, with minimal direction
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Planner) and database management
    • Knowledge of electrical safety practices and how to apply them in working environments.
    • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Ability to solve fairly complex problems

    • This is an on-site position, with flexibility to travel to various domestic locations, as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • OSHA 30 certification
    • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E Arch Flash Certification
    • OSHA 10
    • COSS

    Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $48,000 to $60,000 (hourly position). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including certain shifts, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
