Safety Manager - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 110k/year - York, PA

• Our client has a worldwide presence in diversified markets such as Aerospace, Communications, Automotive, Packaging, and Consumer Products, with a strong presence in their niche manufacturing practice of wire and mesh.
• The Safety Manager will plan, direct and implement our clients' Safety Program at three manufacturing facilities located in York County.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements, and maintains safety and health policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with government regulations and company standards.
• Conducts audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; recommends and tracks corrective actions to reduce hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborates with management and operations to enhance workplace safety, improve processes, and conduct Job Safety Analysis and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Reviews new equipment, materials, or processes to verify compliance with safety and health requirements.
• Manages and delivers safety training programs (e.g., lockout/tagout, fire extinguisher, forklift) for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manages Worker’s Compensation cases, safety records, PPE inventory, first aid programs, and emergency response preparedness.
• Organizes and leads monthly Safety Committee meetings, fire/evacuation drills, and continuous improvement initiatives toward the goal of zero injuries.
• Coordinates with local emergency responders and government agencies to ensure compliance and safe plant operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Safety Related Program – Industrial Safety, EHS, etc.
• 5+ years of experience in Safety Program management
• Manufacturing or Distribution experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable government regulations, standards, and procedures such as OSH, EPA, DOT, and DEP.
• Strong Microsoft Office and PC skills including being an advanced Excel user

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k - 110k/year range
