ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and foster a proactive safety program that encourages associates at all levels to prioritize safety in their daily work practices.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Engage in investigations and reviews of incidents to identify root causes and create actionable recommendations for prevention.
- Actively contribute to safety committees, offering insights and feedback to improve workplace safety.
- Design, schedule, and conduct safety training sessions to ensure associates are well-informed about safety protocols and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workplace injuries, managing communication with associates, insurance carriers, and overseeing the claims process.
- Partner with management to develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce workplace injuries and enhance overall safety.
- Create trainings and safety updates for management using PowerPoint presentations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Five or more years of direct and proven experience in a safety role, ideally within a warehouse or retail environment.
- Experience in incident investigation, safety training, and interaction with insurance carriers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
- OSHA 30 certification required within 90-days of employment.
- Proficiency in safety regulations, best practices, and injury prevention strategies.
- Certification in safety management or a related field highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals across all levels of the organization.
- High attention to detail, self-starter, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
