The Safety Territory Manager will assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the field, plant, and office.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Safety Director to ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to and make recommendations as needed
Motivate and develop safety awareness by assisting Project Management and supervisors in applying safety methods when facing construction challenges
Interact effectively with Project Management by providing an advanced level of safety knowledge and support, offering professional leadership, and evaluating jobsite safety-related issues and potential hazardous conditions
Assist and inform employees on proper safety practices, including onsite training
Provide a detailed written description of all job site visits through audits and reports
Investigate accidents or incidents that may occur on jobsites along with the Safety Director
Attend safety-related meetings with clients
Develop and execute health and safety plans for projects
Cultivate a work environment that supports our safety culture
Conduct jobsite inspections to assess safety deficiencies and hazardous conditions and develop appropriate proactive actions or plans
Assure all employees have the proper training and certification on standards and equipment being used
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Health and Safety Management, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry, structural steel experience is preferred
Strong understanding of safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
Ability to travel daily
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
Detail-oriented, organized, and the ability to multi-task, while meeting tight deadlines under pressure
Ability to learn new technologies and concepts
Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
Salary:
$70,000 - $95,000/year
Dependent upon experience
