The Safety Territory Manager will assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the field, plant, and office.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Safety Director to ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to and making recommendations as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules
Work alongside the Safety Director to ensure the completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting
Provide technical and administrative support to active projects and the Field Operations Department
Stop operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment
Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards, under the guidance of the Safety Director
Maintain the Safety Training Platform to ensure all employees are current with required training in accordance with GMF Policy and OSHA Regulations
Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee and project compliance with safety regulations
Respond to accidents and incidents
Handle risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Health and Safety Management, or equivalent, preferred
5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry, structural steel experience is preferred
Ability to travel to project sites as required to conduct safety inspections
Understanding of safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct training
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
Salary:
$70,000 - $95,000/year
Dependent upon experience
