    How You Will Add Value
    The Account Manager will bring sales expertise and account management within the assigned territory (Boston-focused), spearheading all sales and commercial activities across existing and prospective markets for the multiomics and synthetic biology portfolio. This role involves cultivating customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, ensuring market penetration, and achieving sales targets.

    What You Will Do

    • Manage sales and account activities for all assigned locations by defining and executing sales strategies, driving bookings, revenue, and business objectives.
    • Own and lead the territory development plan for assigned regions, collaborating with stakeholders and coordinating resources across different areas to support team selling.
    • Utilize deep knowledge of drug discovery, drug development, gene-to-antibody, and proteomics workflows. Apply consultative sales techniques to offer solutions tailored to customer needs within life sciences.
    • Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by actively managing a strong sales pipeline. Grow the territory by acquiring new clients and increasing engagement with existing accounts.
    • Provide forecasts, regular updates, market insights, and other information to managers and stakeholders as needed.
    • Close sales through a strategic, results-oriented approach while maintaining effective account management practices to build lasting client relationships, driving business growth.
    • Maintain accurate customer and account information within our CRM system, managing a clean and organized sales pipeline, and tracking customer interactions.
    • Work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment to deliver customer-focused value, enhancing revenue growth. Partner with teams like Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Regional Sales Specialists, Technical Support, and Product Management to align strategies, execute campaigns, and support customer needs.

    What You Will Bring

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences field is required.
    • 3+ years of experience in Genomics or Synthetic Biology within a commercial setting, with a proven track record in account management, achieving targets, and driving revenue.
    • Strong understanding of the genomics industry, with the ability to build applications knowledge across segments (Pharma, Biotech, Government, Academia). Familiarity with common sequencing, synthetic biology, cell and gene therapy, and molecular biology techniques.
    • Experience working within a collaborative team environment.
    • Proven success in using a consultative approach to customer engagement, achieving impactful results.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Skilled in managing opportunities, tasks, and events within CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • A valid driver’s license is required.

    Working Conditions/Schedule

    • Must be willing and able to travel extensively within the assigned territory for customer meetings, internal business gatherings, seminars, and conferences (Boston-focused). This role requires flexibility for up to 50% travel within the region, with occasional travel outside the territory as necessary.
