Our client, a wholesale distribution company, focused on home goods, decor, and stationary, is seeking a results-driven Sales Account Manager with expertise in managing key accounts, driving sales growth, and building strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for growing sales with major chain stores and large customers, developing strategic partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth by selling custom products to key accounts, chain stores, and large customers, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing partners.
- Build long-term client relationships by providing exceptional support, sharing insights, and recommending product solutions tailored to their needs.
- Identify new business opportunities by researching industry trends, analyzing competitors, and evaluating prospective clients.
- Stay informed about market activities and propose product improvements or high-volume product launches to align with customer demands.
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to create and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Manage the setup of new items and maintain online portals and systems for large and key accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize internal reporting systems to pull and analyze sales data, providing insights to drive decision-making and improve sales strategies.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the product categories.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in managing key accounts in the retail or consumer goods industries.
- Proven success in selling to major retailers such as Burlington, TJ Maxx, and/or Ross, with a strong understanding of their buying processes.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate opportunities and develop creative solutions.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, or other business-related purposes.
- Proficiency in CRM software and reporting systems, with the ability to extract and interpret sales data effectively.

Salary: $120K + Commission
