    Job Description

    The Sales Assistant is a driven, competitive salesperson who thrives in a high-energy environment, with proven communication skills and professional ambition.

    • Is responsible for the acquisition, customer experience, growth, and sales pertaining to assigned accounts within the publishing industry while ensuring the highest level of customer commitment and service through relationships and expansion.
    • Understand the patience and finesse required to nurture relationships over the phone during both busy and slow seasons, responds promptly to queries and concerns, and take great pride in building brand affinity with every single interaction.
    • Consults with assigned accounts over marketing goals and suggests relevant solutions to best meet those goals.
    • Is passionate about the place that Christian books occupy in the marketplace; their ability to inspire, transform hearts, and change the world.
    • Is fascinated by the process of building long-lasting relationships within the charismatic Christian market.
    • Beyond a basic proficiency in MS Office and Outlook software, knowledge or an interest in how influencers develop their audiences with tools like social media, blogging, networking and personally promoting their work is key.

    Supports the Mission and Vision of Charisma Media, must be a team player who possesses strong relationship-building skills, has a can-do attitude, has a desire to learn, and is not afraid to ask for or close a sale as well as suggestive sell/sell up.

    • Proven print and digital sales experience in the Christian charismatic/Pentecostal market
    • Successful track record of multi-tasking in a business environment

    Essential Skills and Responsibilities

    • Dynamic, charismatic personality motivated to exceed their own account targets
    • Manage accounts to achieve or exceed sales goals
    • Strong negotiation acumen to sell Charisma Media products to existing and new accounts.
    • Thrives in a deadline driven environment
    • B2B and D2C demonstrated sales and account manager experience
    • Establishes relationship with existing clients and clearly understands their businesses and requirements
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; utilizing all mediums.
    • Works well with a team and independently.
    • Is able to travel to meet with clients within the US
    • Is comfortable with Charisma Media’s Vision Statement, beliefs, and values

    Additional Information

    Location : On-site from our Corporate office, located at 1150 Greenwood Blvd, Lake Mary, Florida.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

    Compensation: Guaranteed base salary of $45,000/year + commission

    Benefits : Paid vacation and sick time and eight holidays per year. Company paid life insurance. Comprehensive health and dental plans available for employee and dependents after 60 days, 401K with matching after one year of employment, Christmas bonus.

    Work Environment : The work environment is a normal office setting. Although fast-paced, it is a pleasant environment, which includes cordial relationships. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

    Physical Requirements : Must be able to sit for extended periods and able to lift and carry office supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs).

    Interview Process : If your resume is selected for consideration, you will be contacted by our Staffing Coordinator by email and will be asked to complete a Candidate Questionnaire followed by a telephone interview. If you are selected further, you will be invited for an in-person meeting at our corporate office for skills testing and an interview with our Office Manager. Skills testing will include the following: Basic proofreading and spelling, personality profile, and typing test.

    The final interview will be conducted by the hiring manager. If you are chosen to fill the position, you will be contacted by the Staffing Coordinator with final job details and onboarding information.
