Responsibilities: • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Delphi, Opera, or similar programs • Coordinate and manage all administrative tasks related to catering and banquet events • Excellent organizational skills and has the ability to multitask • Clear, positive, energetic communication skills • Detail and create all BEO’s for the catering department • Works with the Catering Sales Manager and Director of Catering. Reports to the Director of Sales. • Attend weekly BEO meeting to review upcoming events • This role will be the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and associates for events taking place within 30 days • Contacts clients for final details, creates and sends invoices, updates, and distribute revised BEO for the client’s signature. • OPERA - Input and updates and room blocks, email rooming list to clients, make a reservation for the contact, reminder letters about group cut off • Act as Liaison between Sales Team and clients in Sales Manager's absence, taking booking inquiry information via phone and preparing proper paperwork • Answer the telephone and respond to caller inquiries in a clear and pleasant manner, exercising decision-making skills to direct caller's requests and accurately record messages for staff • Organize, file, and retrieve documents in appropriate binders to maintain essential records used in the department's operation • Comply with attendance policies. • Some weekend hours. • Perform any other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Must be a self-starter who is motivated to perform independently to achieve department goals. • Associates degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required. • Ability to read and interpret documents, business records, and statistical reports. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to keep temperament when engaging in difficult or emotional customer situations. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, and customers. Compensation: $20 per hour DOE
