    AwardSpring is a growing Software as a Service (SaaS) company that partners with colleges and foundations to simplify scholarship management. Our mission is to help students access scholarship funds while enabling institutions to streamline their processes and raise future funds. We just raised a fresh round of investor funding, and are investing in expanding our sales team to fuel growth.

    Job Overview

    The Sales Development Representative role will focus on prospecting and generating new business opportunities to support AwardSpring's growth. This role involves value-based outreach to potential clients and close collaboration with Account Executives to drive revenue.

    This role is based in Chicago, and offers a hybrid work-style. Candidates should expect to be in our West Loop office three days per week.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research prospects to tailor outreach and demonstrate a clear understanding of their needs.
    • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, and social media to generate new business opportunities.
    • Schedule and qualify meetings with potential customers for Account Executives.
    • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute territory strategies.
    • Maintain accurate data in the CRM (HubSpot) to track activities and outcomes.
    • Provide feedback to sales leadership on outreach effectiveness, market trends, and messaging.
    • Build relationships with prospects to nurture potential long-term opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • 0-2 years of sales experience or relevant work experience.
    • Coachable and eager to learn, with a willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Natural curiosity and a value-driven approach to engaging prospects.
    • Competitive mindset with a team-oriented attitude.
    • Bachelor's degree required.

    Compensation

    • Base Salary: $45,000-$55,000 (based on experience)
    • Variable Compensation Target: $30,000
    • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000-$85,000
    • Commissions/Bonus opportunities are uncapped, with accelerators in place for high performers
