    POSITION OVERVIEW

    EDE is looking for confident sales development representatives in Chicago. From facilitating initial conversations, to developing relationships with prospective clients, you will be an integral member of our sales organization. In this role, you will be responsible for creating new opportunities for EDE.

    In the complex world of trade shows, you will get to work alongside an experienced, passionate, and supportive team, but most importantly you’ll jumpstart your career in an exciting field.

    Our goal is to create a clearly defined career path that excites you. Due to the unique and complex nature of the trade show industry, this position will start as an in-office role.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ability to prospect through various mediums including social, email, phone, and events to develop new business leads.

    Utilize prospecting and research tools, including HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn, while coordinating with SVP of Sales and Marketing to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book discovery meetings with target accounts.

    Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process.

    Work closely and collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans.

    Traveling to targeted trade shows for meetings and prospecting including Las Vegas, Orlando, San Francisco, and other Tier 1 trade show cities.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    Two to Four years of Sales Experience.

    Trade show exhibit experience is not required but a plus

    Strong work ethic to work autonomously is key.

    Possessing confidence; strong communication and questioning skills to gain better understanding of client needs.

    Initiative-taking to succeed and learn.

    A desire to learn and grow as this is a role to get you prepared for the next step within the sales team at EDE.
