Core Responsibilities:
Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
Conduct initial outreach to potential clients to assess their needs and determine the potential for partnership.
Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and senior sales executives.
Maintain and update customer information in our CRM system (HubSpot).
Work closely with the marketing team to refine messaging and tactics based on market feedback.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation or improvements in our sales approach.
Non-Core Responsibilities:
Participate in trade shows and industry networking events to promote company products and services.
Assist in the creation and optimization of sales collateral and presentations.
Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and potential product enhancements.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry standards and sales techniques.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Reach out to a set number of leads each day through various communication channels.
Track and analyze response rates and the effectiveness of different outreach strategies.
Prepare reports on sales activities and maintain detailed notes on prospect interactions.
Collaborate with team members to enhance lead generation strategies and execute sales campaigns.
Regularly meet with the sales team to align on goals and strategies.
How the Position Fits into the Organization:
The Sales Development Representative reports directly to the Sales Manager/Directors and plays a crucial role in the sales team. This position is key to building the initial contact and setting the stage for further sales discussions, directly impacting the company's growth and success in the market.
Qualifications:
Hard Skills:
Experience with CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
Strong understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
Knowledge of the construction equipment industry is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
