    Position Summary:

    The Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating qualified leads for our sales team. This is a hunter role that is focused exclusively on attracting new business opportunities. The Sales Development Representative actively generates leads through email, phone, social media, networking, and targeted lists. The role is a member of the Sales & Marketing team and supports the members of this team to achieve sales goals.

    The C2 Group is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We support a flexible and remote work environment. Candidates must be based in Michigan, with a preference in Grand Rapids, allowing for one day per week worked in the office.

    Accountabilities of the Sales Development Representative:


    Generate qualified leads for Account Executives

    • Conduct regular networking and “cold” activities per goals including outreach via phone, email, and social media
    • Engage in prospecting to ensure a strong network
    • Engage in partner networking opportunities as a representative of C2
    • Identify opportunities that meet qualification criteria for Account Executives
    • Schedule introduction meetings with qualified leads and Account Executives

    Build long-term relationships with prospects

    • Offer resources including webinar invitations, thought leadership, blogs, relevant case studies, etc.
    • Consistently follow up with opportunities in the new business pipeline

    Ensure CRM accuracy

    • Maintain sales opportunity pipeline data in Hubspot
    • Track all sales activity, demonstrating results and providing data to inform better pipeline management
    • Maintain accurate contact information for all leads/sales contacts

    Assist with pre-proposal process

    • Ensure prospect has relevant case studies or thought leadership marketing pieces
    • Qualify potential work effort and business case
    • Qualify prospect budget and timeline

    **Education & Experience: **

    • Bachelor's degree specializing in business administration, marketing, or sales field.
    • One to three years of experience in marketing, sales, or technology field.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
