    The Position

    At Informa TechTarget, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be instrumental in driving our growth by sourcing meetings that create marketing programs in partnership with some of the world’s largest brands. In this role, you will serve as the front line, introducing our content strategy and development expertise to both existing clients and potential prospects.

    In this role the SDR will work to generate revenue by developing opportunities through phone, email and social media for the Informa TechTarget Account Directors.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Research, source and secure leads to build pipeline for our Account Directors.
    • Making outbound sales calls against an assigned territory
    • Actively participate in weekly meetings, recognizing achievements, exchanging valuable insights, and collaborating to overcome challenges.
    • Leveraging email to engage target prospects
    • Managing social media tools for inbound prospect development
    • Interacting with target prospects and providing high level value proposition
    • Generating qualified leads and setting sales appointments
    • Managing and updating prospecting status via CRM (Salesforce.com)
    • Expand your understanding of how content marketing programs unlock value for TechTarget customers by seeking out innovative approaches and best practices.

    Qualifications

    • A self-starter who embraces a growth mindset, proactively taking initiative, seeking continuous improvement, and viewing challenges as opportunities for personal and professional growth.
    • A bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for fields related to business, marketing, communications, or other relevant disciplines.
    • 1-3 years of experience, ideal for early-career professionals or recent college graduates eager to build a successful career in B2B sales.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messaging, present ideas clearly, and engage clients effectively through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
    • A strong work ethic, highly motivated and committed to long-term career development in the competitive and rewarding field of sales, specifically in content marketing and national advertising solutions.
    • A high-energy mentality with a positive, driven attitude, capable of making 50+ calls per day while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism.
    • Ability to thrive in a merit-based environment with a results-driven mindset, focusing on performance, accountability, and earning potential based on individual success.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and LinkedIn, with the ability to leverage digital tools for prospecting and relationship building.
    • Demonstrated experience achieving and exceeding monthly goals, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or surpassing performance targets, focusing on securing advertising and content marketing partnerships across national business markets.
    • Sales-oriented problem solver with the capability to identify client needs and present tailored content marketing and advertising opportunities that align with their business objectives.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills, effectively managing multiple accounts, sales pipelines, and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
