Sales Director of Distilled Spirits for a Beverage Process Technology Company
Our client is a revolutionary beverage process technology company. They are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Sales Director to take ownership of our sales efforts in the distilled spirits industry. This role focuses on the Bourbon Belt and/or the grain spirits processing spaces. The candidate will develop relationships, grow sales, and drive market penetration across these key segments.
This is an in-person role and candidates must be based in the Bourbon Belt (KY, TN, OH, IN) or the Corn Belt (IN, IL, MO)
Responsibilities:
\- Manage and expand sales efforts within the Bourbon Belt (KY, TN, OH, IN) and the Corn Belt (IN, IL, MO) for grain neutral spirits
\- Build strong relationships with distilleries, brands, and 3rd-party producers, tailoring solutions to their processing and production needs
\- Identify opportunities, close deals, and grow the customer base, particularly in bulk grain alcohol and distilled spirits
\- Work closely with leadership to develop and implement sales strategies while freeing up time for leadership to focus on new verticals (e.g., wine)
\- Leverage knowledge in distilled spirits processing and equipment sales to position the company as an industry leader
\- Use foundational knowledge in flavor profiles and product quality to support clients effectively
Qualifications:
\- 7-10+ years of experience in the distilled spirits industry, with an ideal background in selling machinery, processing equipment, or services to 3rd-party producers or direct to distillers
\- Beverage industry experience strongly preferred
\- Bonus points for experience as a master brewer or distiller, providing expertise in flavor profiling and production processes
\- Proven track record in sales, account management, and relationship building
\- Residing in or near the Bourbon Belt or Corn Belt preferred
Compensation: Targeting a base salary of ~$110-125 with all-in compensation in the high $100s or low $200s
