    Turning Point Search is recruiting for a direct hire Sales opportunity into a Metals Stamping Company in the Metro-Detroit, MI area.  Our client is seeking an individual to solicit and secure new business contracts for metal stampings and stamped sub-assemblies by effectively working with customer purchasing agents and engineers.  They will introduce unique stamping capabilities and communicate the advantages of turning to company for stamping needs.  The successful candidate must also support the program, engineering, production, and quality team members.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Create new business opportunities, business contacts, work under the direction of the Director of Sales/CEO to strengthen these relationships in an effort to gain future work.
    • Maintain documentation of, and report on status regarding sales activities (prospects, projections, strategies, program status, etc.)
    • Establish and maintain a working relationship with the customer’s product engineering staff.Will include periodic customer plant visits – some travel required.
    • Review competitiveness with the customer on recently completed quotations.
    • Review product design issues with the customer’s Product Engineers, on prototype in progress and/or currently being quoted.
    • Liaise with newly generated and prospective customers’ purchasing agents.
    • Develop and conduct presentations to Key Customers and Internal Management personnel.
    • Track and coordinate awarded business and open quotes.
    • Builds peer support and strong internal company relationships with other key management personnel.
    • Represent the company’s business policies in various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to attract more clients.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets in an automotive environment (preferably metal stamping and welding).
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
    • Ability to communicate, listen, negotiate and present effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality and Safety Policies.
    • Is knowledgeable and skillful in the operation of typically used related tools, materials, and equipment.
    • A track record demonstrating a commitment to customer service, and successful teamwork.
    • A positive attitude, confidence, and the expectation to succeed.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communications skills.
    • Moderate travel required.
    • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in business or engineering from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
