    About Us

    Sentinel Devices is at the forefront of decentralized AI/ML for industrial equipment and process data. We monitor industrial equipment for signs of faults, failures and issues – and the unique part about what we do is we do everything totally offline, totally off of the cloud, for security-sensitive and remote operations. This means we build data collection and monitoring platforms for industrial equipment, watching for signs of anything that can impact customer machinery and cause our customers downtime. Our platform does this while operating completely off of the cloud - all data storage, processing and decision-making happens entirely locally. This means our devices are used to monitor hard-to-reach or security-sensitive assets - we make reaching these assets cost-effective for our customers.

    About the Sales Engineer position

    We are looking for a hardworking, smart and over achieving Sales Engineer with a passion for developing and selling solutions in industrial automation to technical customers.You will be responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. You will be responsible for building use cases, studies and information around our core product, will assist in developing and tailoring technical demos and pitches for specific customers, and assisting the development team in proactively identifying and resolving bugs or issues as well as needed changes in the user experience. We are a very fast-paced startup, so you will also have the opportunity to work directly on the codebase on problems you feel are important.

    Responsibilities

    • Learning about and educating yourself on our core product and on the industrial automation field as a whole

    • Taking our core product and building out documentation around how to use and work with it on a day-to-day basis in customer contexts. This documentation will be both internal and user-facing.

    • Working with customers to identify their needs and develop case studies for how our technology can be used to support their needs.

    • Creating superb presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of our product and its viability for specific customers & industries

    • Managing all technical aspects of RFP / RFI and other technical documentation responses

    • Identify bugs in the latest product releases and let the development team know about them

    • To a limited extent, identifying and leading development of specific parts of the codebase as-needed

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in Python
    • Previous experience in developing, implementing and using REST APIs
    • Previous experience in Linux

    Good-to-haves

    • Previous experience with Docker containers
    • Previous experience as a sales engineer
    • Previous experience in sales-and-marketing
    • Previous experience working in industrial automation
    • Previous experience in manufacturing, chemicals or other related process industries
