Opportunity: Drive Growth at Horizon Concrete Construction LLC - Sitework & Utilities Sales & Estimator
Are you a results-oriented deal closer with a deep understanding of Houston's private, commercial sitework and utilities landscape?
Horizon Concrete Construction LLC, a 30+ year player in the Houston construction market, is seeking a highly driven and tenacious Salesperson/Estimator to aggressively expand our presence in the sitework and underground utilities sector. Horizon has a private-sector only focus on Office, Warehouse, Retail centers, Daycare centers, and Healthcare facilities. We are looking for a competitive and technically astute Salesperson/Estimator to spearhead aggressive expansion within the sitework and utilities arena. We demand a self-starter with a proven track record of securing profitable projects and the technical acumen to deliver precise and competitive estimates.
We are not looking for someone who waits for opportunities – we need a hunter who creates them.
Your Mission:
● Aggressively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Houston sitework and utilities market (including but not limited to excavation, grading, drainage, concrete work, and underground utilities).
● Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, general contractors, and other key stakeholders.
● Master project specifications and drawings to develop accurate and compelling cost estimates.
● Prepare and present persuasive proposals that clearly articulate our value proposition and secure project wins.
● Collaborate seamlessly with our field operations team to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
● Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
● Meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.

● Demonstrable experience (3+ years preferred) in sales and estimating within the Houston sitework and utilities construction industry. You possess a strong network and a deep understanding of local market dynamics.
● Exceptional technical proficiency in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
● Proven ability to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates. You understand the intricacies of sitework and utility construction costs.
● Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. You can articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
● Strong organizational and time management skills. You are adept at managing multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
● Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
● A hunter mentality with a proven track record of closing deals.
