    SUMMARY

    We are currently seeking a Sales Intern with emphasis in the Jefferson City/Lake of the Ozarks region and market who will be responsible for a territory including but not limited to Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Gravois Mills and Camdenton. The Sales Intern will assist the local Market Manager with functions related to execution of sales and promotions in both on and off premise accounts. They include responsibilities for attending weekend promotion and sampling events with personal vehicle. The sales intern will also assist with scheduled activation events at the Ozarks Amphitheater throughout the summer. This position is part-time, less than 20 hours a week.

    Sampling events at on-premise locations (bars, nightclubs) will require approaching patrons to sample and promote the featured brands. Sampling events at off-premise locations (liquor and grocery stores) will require providing samples and suggestive selling to consumers in the retail location.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Pour beer and seltzer in a professional and friendly manner

    Check guest identification to verify they are of legal drinking age

    Conduct wait-staff / bartender educations, beer tastings and beer dinners

    Ensure proper merchandising of on- and off-premise accounts

    Plan and execute on-premise promotions as permitted (note: evenings; weekend festivals)

    Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both on and off-premise

    Work with local distributors to increase brand awareness and consumption

    Be responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materials

    Collect data (e.g. pricing, distribution) as required

    Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines

    Track and monitor progress in all identified accounts

    Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beverages

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Ability to build rapport quickly

    Evening and weekend work required

    Must be 21 years of age or older

    Reliable cell phone and good driving record

    Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct trainings/promotions

    Strong work ethic; demonstrate ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
