    Overview:

    As a Sales Manager at Ironmill Fasteners & Hardware, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve set targets. You will oversee the sales of a wide range of building materials, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the company’s growth in the competitive market. Your role includes strategic planning, team leadership, client management, and sales operations oversight.

    ** Must have 10+ years of construction material sales experience in rough to finish stages due to our product offerings; Hardware, Fasteners, Nails, Tools, Exterior & Interior Material Products **

    Reports To: General Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.

    • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.

    • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure the sales team is on board.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and group sales targets.

    • Conduct regular sales training and workshops to improve team skills and product knowledge.

    • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback and coaching.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.

    • Conduct regular client visits and participate in industry trade shows and conferences.

    Sales Operations:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the sales department, including order processing and delivery schedules.

    • Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.

    • Monitor and analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities and challenges.

    Budget Management:

    • Prepare and control the sales department budget.

    • Analyze costs and sales to evaluate performance against budget.

    • Identify and approach new potential strategic partners.

    Marketing Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns and strategies.

    • Provide feedback from clients to assess possible refinements to existing products and the need for new products.

    Reporting:

    • Prepare detailed reports on sales results, forecasts, and market conditions.

    • Present sales, revenue, and expense reports and realistic forecasts to management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field.

    • Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the building materials industry.

    • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics in the construction sector.

    • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.

    • Ability to lead a sales team in a diverse and fast-paced environment.

    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Willingness to travel as needed.
