Sales Manager-Tour & Travel Group The Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration is looking for an active customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the next Sales Manager (Tour & Travel Group) at our busy hotel. You'll be in charge of developing a sales and marketing plan that includes soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. This energetic leader will be able to enhance revenue by researching local market trends and competition behavior to discover and close business leads. Responsibilities: • Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements • Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking • Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities • Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share • Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing Qualifications: • Outstanding organizational skills and time management • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry • Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar field a plus • At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in the hospitality industry • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively • Tour & Travel Group Sales experience
