    This role will be supporting the maintenance and growth of our export business. The business, which services clients in 200+ countries, boasts countless opportunities to keep expanding into the building industry.

    Your primary customers will be building materials distribution companies, builders, contractors, installers, governments, and private and public organizations worldwide. As we will help you develop the necessary product knowledge, application expertise and building science insights, industry experience is not required but is preferred. With that support, you will be prepared to utilize sales and marketing business acumen, and the ability to critically analyze market trends that will help your customers (and you) succeed.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategically leveraging customer relationships to execute your annual sales plan, while helping your customers achieve their success.

    Driving growth within the building materials industry; providing added value to your customers

    Executing price strategy and providing customer insights.

    Growing with existing customers while developing new customer opportunities.

    Utilizing the knowledge of your market’s strengths and weaknesses to win.

    Skills and Expertise Necessary to Succeed

    Prior experience selling on the value of a product or service to meet the needs of a customer, from cold call through close.

    5-8 years of demonstrated ability to deliver results in previous sales role is preferred.

    Listening skills that allow you to understand, diagnose and solve customer problems.

    Driving success in business with a clear and intentional customer or territory strategy.

    Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships.

    Ability to make persuasive product presentations.

    Conducts self with the highest ethical and moral standards.

    Additional Information:

    Ability to operate across geographic and cultural boundaries.

    Ability to interact with representatives from suppliers and OC Customers

    Ability to work as a team.

    Ability to travel up to 20% overseas.

    Ability to speak and write an international language other than English (e.g., Spanish or French) will be a great asset.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business development, or a related field (preferred)

    Proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite

    The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation, including base salary and bonus.
