    Your Opportunity

    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Sales Manager in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Products and Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The business line to be supported includes experts in the following engineering disciplines: stress analysis, civil/structural analysis, materials, fracture mechanics, thermal-hydraulics, risk-informed, electrical/I&C, and modification package generation. The business principally supports the commercial nuclear fleet in the US and abroad, the burgeoning Small Modular Reactor/Advanced Reactor market, and the US DOE. Under broad supervision, manages the company’s strategic, marketing and business development activities for products, clients and/or services for the assigned product line/portfolio. Defines and develops new product/sales opportunities to meet customer needs and makes sales presentations to generate new business. Prepares business strategy proposals to senior management for market opportunities based on market trends and forecasting. Your work will include:

    • Develop and implement sales and/or marketing strategies

    • Close new orders from North American customers

    • Serve as the primary interface for assigned products, services and clients for the assigned product line/portfolio.

    • Responsible to obtain committed Product Line/portfolio order intake and as-bid margin-on-contract annually.

    • Propose product applications and solutions so that product and service deliveries meet customer requirements.

    • Make presentations to customers and negotiate contract scope and conditions.

    • Ownership of opportunities from cradle to grave (identification, capture planning, proposal preparation, customer follow-up, contracting, turnover)

    • Recommend process changes to improve health and/or productivity of the team.

    • Develop and maintain customer relationships

    • Prepare economic scenarios to help top management challenge and validate key business decisions.

    • Share information so that all business stakeholders develop a level of competency and performance in line with customer requirements.

    • Manage estimates, actively engage in proposal development, and facilitate contract amendments so that each deal meets the targeted level of profit margin.

    • Utilize SPEAK (appointment with clients, reporting, presentation, opportunity follow up, information sharing with management and product manager).

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

    • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent or ten (10) years equivalent work experience.
    • Some post-secondary education is preferred.
    • Must be able to learn and apply a variety of software applications.
    • Must have accurate keyboarding skills.
    • Prior experience in a retail service environment to include cash handling and member service preferred.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the partner is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
