    Job Description

    The Sales Manager is responsible for all sales related activities within the assigned region delivering quality, building relationships, and loyalty with customers resulting in increased revenue and company profitability. Through collaboration and an enterprise thinking, drive results to meet territory sales targets.

    As Rotork is strengthening its Chemical, Process and Industrial, CPI, sales coverage in the US Industrial Heartland (OH, MI, IL, PA, etc…) Territory, the role requires a high level of knowledge and experience in the field of engineered product sales, and a strong commitment to delivering top-quality customer service.

    This opportunity provides the successful candidate to be part of the Rotork’s Global CPI team, while working within the US CPI sales team to provide a coordinated effort to ensure customer satisfaction and sales targets are achieved.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all sales related activities for Chemical, Process and Industrial (CPI) opportunities
    • Develops and maintains relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners
    • Effectively manages local channel partners (Manufacturer’s Representatives and Distributors) and maximizes the performance of these channels.
    • Monitors and pursues project sales as well as service and aftermarket sales at existing customers.
    • First responder to customer needs, while also engaging with and assisting the company’s Factory Service Group
    • Delivers effective reporting / Rotork Customer Engagement (CRM) to ensure that data relating to their sales activities is recorded and shared with others when needed.
    • Keeps informed about our competitive position and the actions of competitors.
    • Works in co-operation with their Manager and other Area Sales Managers to develop a sales plan
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Chemical/Petrochemical and general industrial markets in the US Industrial Heartland; preferred experience directly in valve automation
    • Bachelor's Degree (or relevant technical qualifications and associated experience)
    • Strong existing business relations with customers in target industries at a senior management level
    • Familiar with techniques required to co-ordinate the sale of products and services on capital projects as well as to resellers and end-users
    • Knowledge of and experience with the use of Microsoft Office

    The Successful Candidate:

    • Experience in the sale of engineered industrial automation products or process equipment
    • High level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance
    • Knowledge of Chemical Industry, Mining and Automated Industrial Processes.
