    About the role

    We are looking for a Sales Manager passionate about the food and beverage industry to join our growing team. Our Sales Manager will be an extension of the Savory brand, with expert knowledge of our tailored and boutique style food and beverage offering, educating new clients on all Savory has to offer.

    The ideal candidate thrives building strong and enduring relationships. They are a self-starter and go-getter, not afraid to “hit the pavement” to get Savory’s name all over New York City. Key to this role is the ability to actively listen to client’s needs while creating a vision that exceeds their expectation. Our new Sales Manager will find, win, maintain, track and follow-up on new client business, ensuring they become a forever loyal Savory client.

    This role is a key addition to our growing team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our Sales Manager:

    Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients through cold calling, appointments, prospecting and networking

    Create new client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for incoming catering & event inquiries

    Exhibit exceptional and proactive communication skills and generate prompt and courteous responses to all correspondence related to new business opportunities.

    Develop and maintain a sales plan including a comprehensive prospective of new client list based on key events, holidays, trade shows, and other areas of NYC that Savory could serve, promoting brand awareness, focusing especially on opportunities for revenue during periods of lower historic volume.

    Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper, precise execution of all booked catering/event opportunities.

    Meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly and annual targeted revenue and solicitation goals

    Collaborate with Savory team across departments to ensure the company is providing the best possible array of hospitality offerings that meets market needs and keeps up with new and exciting trends in the industry.

    Possess in-depth understanding of all aspects of catering and event operations to facilitate seamless coordination across all areas of the business from creative, food & beverage, operations, marketing, etc.

    Your experience should show us the following:

    Proven track record of achieving and meeting sales goals with a high level of business acumen

    Passion for the food and beverage industry

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to develop and maintain professional, positive working relationships with clients, partners, liaisons and teammates

    Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite

    Attention to detail in all things: time management, organization, communication, execution

    Proficient in standard development of sales tracking, reporting and lead generation

    Proven adaptability and collaboration skills in a high-volume environment

    Job requirements & Qualifications:

    Must have 3+ years in a Sales role within the hospitality industry

    Willingness to work a flexible schedule daytime Monday – Friday and occasionally including nights, weekends, or holidays
